IAG is working with many well-respected organisations who share our company vision of reducing risk in the community. This means that we'll benefit from a reduced number of claims and the community will see a decrease in the number of accidents and the associated trauma.
State partnerships
State has been a part of New Zealand for over 100 years. We've always been passionate about supporting our customers and their communities - and we continue to play our part.
Swimming partners
We support Swimming New Zealand, Surf Life Saving New Zealand and the State New Zealand Ocean Swim Series, enabling Kiwis to be safe in and around the water.
State Apprenticeship and Management Scheme
We run a national repairer
apprenticeship and management scheme helping to educate motor and building apprentices each year, by supporting them through their study towards a qualification in panel beating, vehicle refinishing or carpentry. We also provide the opportunity for more experienced motor employees to further their career in management
State Driver Reviver
State’s Driver Reviver rest stops offer a relaxing break for motorists during busy holiday periods at eight locations nationwide. To beat driver fatigue State provides free barista coffee, snacks and other pick me ups so that drivers continue on their journeys refreshed and alert. NZI partnerships
NZI has been involved in the community for over 150 years. As part of New Zealand's largest general insurance company, we enjoy playing a part in the communities and the industry we operate in.
Sustainable Business Network (SBN)
NZI is a foundation sponsor of SBN and has partnered on the development of a range of practical initiatives that enhance and reward sustainable business practice, including the Sustainable Business Network Awards, www.greenlist.co.nz and www.getsustonline.co.nz.
First Foundation
Students from low-decile schools and communities face significant barriers to participating and achieving in higher-school and tertiary education. We work with the First Foundation each year to give a scholar financial assistance over four years of tertiary education, a variety of work experiences, access to a mentor and a structured support and development programme
Community groups
We also support a number of community groups through the NZI Broker Community Grants scheme and industry related programmes, such as the Insurance Brokers Association of New Zealand, IBANZ, and Generation I.
Communityhelp Volunteering
In addition, our Communityhelp Volunteering program gives all our staff the opportunity to work in the community in a voluntary capacity for one working day a year.
