Can I apply for a new policy in the Canterbury area?
Due to the large aftershocks experienced in the Canterbury region on 13 June 2011, we’re currently unable to offer quotes or new policies on any Home and Contents or Business policies that are not already insured by IAG. However, we are able to consider undamaged Motor Vehicles, Caravans, Trailers and Boats; although any new policy will be subject to a stand down period for earthquake cover. We continue to reassess this position and our focus remains on assisting existing customers and assessing insurance cover for them on a case-by-case basis.
