First Rescue & Emergency (NZ) Limited

IAG NZ owns 50% of First Rescue and Emergency (NZ) Ltd, better known as First Assistance, who manage our vehicle breakdown service. State Roadside Rescue has more than 750 providers on-call nationwide to cover vehicle mechanical breakdowns, a flat battery, emergency fuel, flat tyres and even keys locked in cars.

Since it was launched in March 2000, State Roadside Rescue has become an established and credible service provider in the roadside assistance market. It helps more than 700 New Zealanders get back on the road every week.

The service is also supplied to selected Corporate Partners and Brokers. Customers can access this service 24 hours a day, seven days a week by calling 0800 10 11 12.

Loyalty New Zealand

IAG NZ owns 25% of Loyalty New Zealand Limited. We are the only insurance company involved with the Fly Buys loyalty programme and one of four shareholders of the management company.

For every $25 of premium paid on personal insurance State and selected Corporate Partners award one Fly Buys point.
